CREATIVE + COMPELLING

I combine design, strategy, and storytelling to build print + digital experiences that inform, inspire, + endure. My background in journalism sharpens my storytelling instincts, while my UX training puts me in the customer’s seat — allowing me to anticipate their needs to design with empathy and purpose.

Wrote + designed this piece about the impact of yoga on mental + physical health.

Two pieces I conceptualized, designed + authored — the article on the left using Army men doing yoga to break down the poses, + the article on the right is a profile of a jewelry designer and former Navy officer.

Commissioned + designed this piece exploring the experience of female veterans.

Sometimes the best work comes from having limited art options. The covers above, in addition to these two features (above + below), required my imagination + artistry to create compelling visuals.

Design isn't just decorating, it's leveraging visuals to convey information. This design, in addition to the one below, show my talent for adding context + content to beautiful visuals.

Designed the above feature + conceived of + designed the accompanying digital display, below, in partnership with a developer.

The above + below articles are magazine content staples that were conceived of + designed by me.

The above + below designs were a collaboration between me + another designer, + the cover was a Folio Ozzie Award finalist. Collaborating with teammates is my favorite way to work + produces outstanding results. In this collaboration I had the vision + designed the article + my teammate helped with the cover, adding some touches in Photoshop that elevated the design while perfectly capturing the tone of the article.
